What is ACEC Utah?

ACEC Utah is the state chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), a national organization dedicated to advancing the business of engineering. We represent the firms and professionals who design Utah’s roads, buildings, and infrastructure—helping to shape the communities we live and work in.

Our focus: Advocacy and business support

We have two primary goals as an organization.

1. Advocating for Utah’s engineering industry: Legislative and regulatory decisions can have a major impact on engineering firms and the work they do. ACEC Utah is actively involved in lobbying efforts, keeping members informed about policy changes, and ensuring that the engineering profession’s voice is heard at both the state and national levels. By staying engaged in the legislative process, we help create an environment where engineering firms can thrive.
2. Providing business and leadership development: Running a successful engineering firm requires more than technical expertise—it takes strong leadership and smart business strategies. ACEC Utah offers training, networking opportunities, and resources on topics like human resources, financial planning, and marketing. Our goal is to equip engineering professionals with the knowledge they need to grow their businesses and navigate an evolving industry.
