3 advantages of being an ACEC member

We’re more than halfway through 2021, and it’s time to reflect on what’s happened during the past year and a half. Our members have been through a global pandemic, labor shortages, and changes that have rocked the entire industry. But despite all of that, they’ve made an effort to attend virtual conferences, meet with mentors, apply for new jobs, and share industry knowledge with their friends and peers.

Our members are some of the best in the business. They go out of their way to help others and further the interests of our industry. Job Opportunities

Although the job market is booming in 2021, finding the right job doing what you love is hard to come by. When you’re a member of ACEC Utah, you have the ability to network with people in your dream position or people who have a certain skill you’d like to learn.

When you’re constantly around these influential figures, you’ll be the first to know when a new position becomes available. It never hurts to have a leg up on the competition, especially for highly sought-after positions within popular organizations.

Advocacy

If you’re dedicating hours of time and energy to a cause, you want to be in an organization that will help you reach your goals.

At ACEC Utah, advocacy is important to us which is why we have a fund specifically dedicated to legislative battles. Our main focus right now is promoting investments in infrastructure. Not only does new infrastructure create thousands of jobs and help boost the economy, but it also increases the quality of life for everyday citizens who deserve to live in a world that’s highly accessible.
