3 engineering awards to apply for in 2023

2023 is a huge year for engineers who are looking to accomplish new projects and roles within their teams. If you have a project you’re working on this year that you’re proud of, don’t let it go to waste. Plus, if you’re applying for jobs or are a recent college grad, it never hurts to have an awards submission on your resume. We’ve gathered a list of awards options to submit your work to that’ll help you get get the recognition your work deserves.

Engineering in Excellence Awards

The awards always look at the previous year of work, so the current applications for 2023 are closed. However, if you want to submit your work for 2023, then you’ll need to apply in December to be eligible for the 2024 awards ceremony.

These awards are not only for ACEC Utah members. Any engineering or surveying firm is eligible to enter programs. However, the project must be designed within the state of Utah. If your project has won an award in another state, it’s still eligible to be entered. Each entry must have one photographic display panel, an official electronic entry and a 10-minute verbal presentation to explain what’s most engineering-noteworthy about it. NPSE Awards

The National Society of Professional Engineers offers a variety of awards every year to help honor students and professionals. If you want to apply in 2023, start prepping your projects and applications now because the deadline comes up quickly.

Some awards to consider are the Federal Engineer of the Year, New Professional, NPSE and Engineering Education Excellence. If you believe you’ve made an outstanding contribution to your industry or want to nominate someone who has, click here and download the application forms.

Engineering Talent Awards

The 2023 Engineering Talent Awards are now open for entries and nominations by clicking here. To enter, you must register on the Engineering Talent Awards Nomination Platform, select the category you choose to enter and complete the application form. Keep in mind that these awards are meant to highlight technology professions across the UK, so this is best for firms that conduct international business or know someone who does great work across the pond.
