At ACEC Utah, our job is to get members involved with things they’re passionate about. That’s why we offer regular networking events, educational training, and relevant articles to keep our members up-to-date with the latest industry news and best practices.
If you have some extra time on your hands and want to get more involved, we’re excited to remind you of some opportunities to engage with your peers and industry leaders.
Committees
Our committees are the primary resource we use to carry out the council’s strategic plan. Our committees participate in a wide range of activities, including recommending legislation to promote the engineering industry and overseeing programs.
If you’re interested in joining a committee, it’s important to know that these positions are either open or appointed. Open committees are market-related and can be joined at any time of the year. However, if you’re interested in an appointed committee, you must apply in January, February, or March and be appointed by an official.
Councils and Forums
Our council and forums members are responsible for special tasks, including networking with other peers. Depending on the forum you’re interested in, you’ll be in charge of different duties like roundtable discussions, educational programs, newsletters, and more. Some of the forums that are currently open for sign-ups include:
Online Communities
Did you know that ACEC Utah hosts more than 100 online communities? These committees are easy to access and encourage communication, collaboration, and teamwork. ACEC Utah members use these forums to connect with one another and grow professionally.
Important note: to join our online communities, you must first join a committee. From there, you’ll have to register as a new visitor to be able to access the site.
For more information or questions about any of these positions, please visit the ACEC Utah website. We can’t wait to hear from you!
