It’s hard to believe, but election day is almost here.
After months and months of campaigning, ad commercials, town hall meetings, and speeches, Americans all over the country will have the opportunity to get out, cast a ballot, and let their voices be heard.
While the majority of the media’s coverage revolves around controversy and he-said-she-said type of statements, we all know that there are far greater issues at stake.
It isn’t just at the National level, it comes down to what we want to happen here in Utah, and in our local, more centralized communities, too.
Each and every race is important in it’s own right, and affects you and your family on some level, whether you realize it or not.
As engineers, we regularly work with local, state, and even the federal government on projects ranging from technology to infrastructure.
You might think that your opinion doesn’t matter, or that you don’t have anything to bring to the table, but that’s far from the truth. Legislation and budgeting decisions are sure to affect our industry down the road, which means now, more than ever, is a critical time.
