Start 2020 with our student scholarship program

The new year is officially here and we’re excited to announce some surprises in store for this spring. We recognize that young talent is the future of the engineering industry, and we want to continue giving students the recognition they deserve. That’s why we proudly offer the ACEC Scholarship Program each year.

In 2020, we are excited to announce that we’ll be awarding nine general scholarships and one specialty scholarship to some of Utah’s top college engineering students. These scholarships pertain to a wide range of topics and promote diversity within our community. This year, we’ll be focusing on the following categories:

• ACEC Scholar of the Year Scholarship
• Jim Kleinfelder ACEC Scholarship
• The Lennox Nishimura Scholarship
• The Rina Lee Scholarship
• College of Fellows Scholarship
• a/e ProNet Scholarship
• Professional Liability Agents Network (PLAN) Scholarship
• Life/Health Trust (LHT) Scholarship
• Small Firm Council Scholarship
• Council of American Structural Engineers (CASE) Scholarship

To qualify for the CASE Scholarship, you must be enrolled in a structural engineering program in the fall of 2020. To qualify for the rest of the scholarships, you must be in your junior, senior, fifth or master’s degree year of college by the fall of 2020. If you’re earning a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, it must be from an ABET-accredited university engineering program.

While preparing, keep in mind that each scholarship is awarded based on a point system that measures the worth of your submitted essay, work experience, recommendations and extracurricular activities. No applications will be accepted after March 6, 2020.
