Utah’s new state prison broke ground nearly four years ago, and it’s nearly done. As one of the largest construction projects in Utah’s history, this is a huge accomplishment. The new prison sits about 9 miles east of the Salt Lake City International Airport and is 1.3 million square feet. Inmates are predicted to move in during June of 2022.
