Each year, we host the Engineering in Excellence Awards where we pay tribute to our members’ exemplary hard work and achievements. This contest is the pinnacle of tradition. Since 1980, the Engineering in Excellence Awards has been considered “the Academy Awards of the engineering industry.” There are a few reasons why you should put yourself out there and participate in this monumental competition.

Networking. Even if you don’t win, you will have a chance to receive recognition and showcase your talent at the annual Engineering in Excellence Awards banquet. Many distinguished individuals will be present at this event whom you can share your work with and chat about career aspirations, possibly opening up the door for future employment.

Experience. Our panel judges each project based on a combination of several different factors. This presents a perfect opportunity to gain insights into the industry and learn what it takes to satisfy the needs of a particular client while staying on budget. There are several categories contestants can choose from including consulting, building/technology, water resources, energy and so much more. From there, a distinguished panel of judges will determine which projects make the cut based on professionalism, sustainability and budget.
